(301)504-5073 Beltsville Agricultural Research Center (BARC) is
conducting market research and hereby soliciting information from
potential sources for all labor, materials, equipment, transportation,
and supervision to rehabilitate an elevated water storage tank. Work
will consist of dewatering, cleaning, rehabilitation and repair,
painting interior and exterior, disposal of debris (including
lead-based paint blast residual), disinfection and testing of one (1)
elevated, steel water storage reservoir (tank) within the USDA
BARC-East located in Beltsville, Maryland. The water storage tank
capacity is 250,000 gallons and the overall height is 34.74M (114'0").
No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of
solicitation. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized in
the CBD. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the
CBD for the release of any synopsis or solicitation. Vendors must have
experience with rehabilitating elevated water storage tanks. In
addition, vendors must have experience in elevated water tower lead
abatement projects to insure capability of perfoming the lead removal
in a satisfactory manner. Vendors who have the capabilities necessary
to perform this type of work are invited to submit appropriate
documentation and references. References are required for previous
contracts in rehabilitating elevated water storage tanks. The proposed
SIC code for this requirement is 1799 with a size standard of $7M. The
magnitude of the project is estimated to be between $250,000.00 and
$500,000.00. Responses must include the following: name and address of
company; size of business; whether business is large, small, small
disadvantaged, 8(a), HUBZone certified, and/or woman-owned; relevant
past performance to include contract number, work accomplished, where
performed, and name and telephone number of a point of contact. This
synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be
construed as a commitment by the government to issue or award a
contract, nor will thegovernment pay for information provided.
Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. The
purpose of this notice is to identify potential sources that can
