NASA/SSC plans to issue a Request for Offer (RFO) for 3 digitizers to include one (1) Model 410, 128-channel Hi-Level Mux Module, 16 8-Ch Diff Multiplexer Boards, Peripheral interface board, 54-Bit Time Code Interface Board, Fiber-Optic Interface Set, 32-bit discrete input board, and HS488 GPIB interface set; one (1) Model 410, 128-Ch Hi-Level Mux Module, 16 8-Ch Diff Multiplexer boards, peripheral interface board, 54-bit time code interface board, fiber-optic interface set, and HS488 GPIB Interface set; one (1) Model 411, 128-Ch Mux expansion module w/ 16 8-Ch Diff Multiplexer boards; one (1) Model 410, 128-Ch Hi-Level Mux Module, 16 8-Ch Diff Multiplexer boards, peripheral interface board, 54-bit time code interface board, fiber-optic interface set, and HS-488 GPIB interface set; two (2) Model 631 384-bit discrete exp module w/ 2 32-bit discrete input boards in one and 12 32-bit discrete input boards in the other; and two (2) Model 621 CCIS Modules, DFB interface boards, decimating FIFO boards, test-mode trigger boards, fiber optic inteface sets, and HS488 GPIB interface sets for E3 Cell 2, E2 Cell 2, and the DACS Laboratory which will both digitize analog and measure digital inputs from instrumentation used for measurements either on a test article or a facility system. These digital inputs will be sent to a computer system which provides for engineering unit conversion, limited computation, real-time display and storage of test data. NASA/SSC intends to purchase the items from A.P. Data Systems, the Tustin Electronic Division, Anaheim, CA, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on February 22, 2000. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
