C -- ARCHITECT AND ENGINEERING SERVICES SOL 549-61-00 DUE 030800 POC John Mraz 903/583-6270 The Department of Veterans Affairs, North Texas Health Care System wishes to procure Architect/Engineering Services to replace the existing fire alarm system at the Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center, Bonham, TX, which is located 60 miles north of Dallas, TX. The A/E shall provide fully developed working drawings and specifications, as well as construction period services. The proposal is geographically restricted to A/E firms located within a 120 miles radius of Bonham, TX. Competitive negotations shall be used to determine contract award. The following evaluation factors and thier importance expressed in percentages (grand total of 100%) shall be used in the source selection process to identify the most highly qualified sources: (a) Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work to be performed (20%); (b) Ability to design within budget construction cost limitations and prepare an accurate construction cost estimate (20%); (c) Capability to accomplish work in the required time (10%); (d) Quality control methods to insure technical accuracy of work (10%); (e) Professional qualifications of staff and consultants proposed for the project (15%); (f) Demonstrated success in prescribing the use of recovered materials, achieving waste reduction and energy efficiency in design work (15%);(g) Experience and capability to use CAD (5%); (h) Professional reputation and standing of A/E firm (5%). All work under this contract, exclusive of Government review time, shall be completed within 90 days. CD's for the project shall be provided on AUTO CAD Version 14, along with 1 set of Mylar Reproducible.
