Provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform drydock
repairs including, but not limited to, the following Base Items: 1)
Repair Port and STBD Corners of Stern (99-007). 2) Clean, Inspect, and
Preserve Diesel Fuel Tank(s). 3) Remove and Dispose of Diesel Fuel (up
to 2,000 gal.). 4) Clean, Inspect and Disinfect Potable Tank(s). 5)
Preserve Potable Water Tank(s). 6) Clean and Inspect Sewage and Grey
Water Collection and Holding Tank(s). 7) Preserve Spudwell, Remove,
Clean and Inspect Spud Winch. 8) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall
Propeller Shafts. 9) Remove, Inspect and Reinstall Propellers. 10)
Overhaul, Renew and Test Valves. 11) Overhaul and Test Fuel Oil Valves.
12) Remove, Inspect and Reinstall Rudder Assemblies. 13) Inspect,
Overhaul and Test Appleton Aton Crane. 14) Perform Non-Destructive
Testing of Various Deck Fittings. 15) Upgrade 115 Volt Transformers.
16) Preserve Forward Void. 17) Preserve Main Hold Bilge. 18) Preserve
Buoy Deck. 19) Preserve Underwater Body _ Coating Thickness Measurement
Non-Destructive. 20) Provide Temporary Berthing. 21) Air Test
Inaccessible Voids. 22) Inspect and Test Relief Valves. 23) Provide
Temporary Logistics. 24) Routine Drydocking. 25) GFP report in
accordance with solicitation Section H. Option Items include but are
not limited to: 1) Welding repairs. 2) Minor Coating Repairs Sewage
Collection Tank. 3) Minor Coating Repairs Grey Water Collection Tank.
4) Preserve Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tank(s). 5)
Winch Overhaul. 6) Straighten Starboard Shaft. 7) Straighten Port
Shaft. 8) Renew Water-Lubricated Shaft Bearings. 9) Clean and Test Grid
Coolers. 10) Preserve the Transducer Hull Ring and Renew the
Transducer. 11) Overhaul, Renew and Test Valves _ Waster Piece Renewal.
12) Preserve Underwater Body. 13) Provide Additional Temporary
Berthing. 14) Ultrasonic Testing. 15) Provide Additional Temporary
Logistics. 16) Composite Labor Rate. 17) Lay Days. The vessel_s
homeport is Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Vessel is a 100_0_ Inland Buoy
Tender. Vessel width is 24_0_. Vessel_s availability is for 35 days
starting June 12, 2000. The place of performance for this vessel is
geographically restricted to no open water transits; restricted to the
protected waters of the cutter_s assigned area of operations, the
Great Lakes. Orders for U. S. Coast Guard specification reference
drawings must be placed within ten (10) days from the solicitation
issuance date. There will be a non-refundable charge of $150.00
required in the form of a certified check or money order payable to the
U. S. Coast Guard, MLCA, for a set of hard copy drawings. Drawings are
now available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters
and will be provided free of charge. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS
compliant raster/vector formats (e.g. *.TIF, *.TIF (group4), *.DWG, and
*.DWF, etc.). All other referenced documents are available for viewing
at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, Virginia. Funds are
available for this procurement. The proposed contract listed here is
part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Plans
and specifications will be issued on or around February 21, 2000. All
responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the
United States Coast Guard. This notice is for information purposes for
