This is a notice of intent from the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) to procure, on an other than full and open competitive basis, service maintenance for JEOL Electron Beam Lithography System JBX-5DII, from JEOL USA, Inc. 11 Dearborn Rd., Peabody, MA 01961-6043. The contractor shall provide a qualified service engineer to perform the full service maintenance including repair and/or replacement of all failed parts, to maintain the performance at original specifications for a JEOL Electron Beam Lithography System, JBX-5DII, Serial #166011-11. The contractor shall provide two routine maintenance calls per year to be scheduled by the Technical Manager (TM). The contractor shall also provide emergency service calls as required by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) within one business day of request. All replacement parts or repair of failed parts except for expendable items (i.e. electron gun filaments, apertures, scantillators, etc. as determined by the TM) to maintain systems performance at original specifications, shall be provided by the contractor. All services are to be performed during normal business hours at the Naval Research Laboratory, 4555 Overlook Ave., S.W., Washington, D.C. 20375-5000. The contract shall be for one year with four option years. The required period of performance for base year is 10 July 2000 through 09 July 2001. Numbered Note 22 applies.
