Service, Atlanta, Georgia is soliciting quotes for Sign Language
Interpreter services for the Atlanta, Georgia metropolitan area. The
schedule of services will vary from a full 8 hour day for a week or
more at a time to meetings of short duration lasting approximately 20
minutes. The service provider must be QA certified by the state of
Georgia in both interpreting (spoken English to American Sign Language
and American Sign Language to spoken English) and transliterating.
Verification of QA certification must be provided through GRID (Georgia
Registry of Interpreter for the Deaf). As an alternative, national
certification is also available. Verification of national certification
must be made through RID (The Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf).
Services under the contract may be required at several different
locations throughout the Atlanta, Georgia metropolitan area. as the
need arises. It is anticipated that an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite
Quantity type contract will be awarded as a result of this
solicitation. The estimated maximum amount of total 8 hour periods of
work is 800 and the quaranteed minimum amount of total 8 hour periods
of work is 80. It is not guaranteed that a full 8 hours of work will be
required for each individual assignment, however for the purpose of
establishing the minimum and maximum amounts under the contract an 8
hour block of time at the rate for a regular work day will be utilized.
The Government reserves the right to award a single contract or make
multiple awards, whichever is most advantageous to the Government. The
anticipated period of performance will be one base year to begin upon
date of award through 12 months with one subsequent, 12 month option
period. All requests for solicitation packages must be in writing and
may be faxed to (404) 338-9233. The Government is not responsible for
lost or misplaced facsimiles. The anticipated release date for the
Request for Quotations is on or about 02/25/2000, and the anticipated
