This construction project is located at Kirtland AFB, NM. The work includes civil earthwork, utilities, and concrete and asphalt paving. Structurally, the new addition will require concrete footings, steel frame, slab on grade, open web steel joists. Architecturally, the work will include selective demolition of walls, doors,and ceilings. New work includes metal roofing, metal partitions with gypsum board, acoustical ceilings, aluminium and glass doors, painting, carpet, quarry and ceramic tile. Mechanical work includes but is not limited to selective demoliton, and new variable air volume system and air handler. New boiler, hot water reheat, chiller with air-cooled condenser. Electrical work includes but is not limted to interior and exterior selective demolition, new lighting, transformer, communication cabling systems including telecommunications., LAN, and cable TV, and fire detection system. There are three additive bid items for this proejct. The work for this project is phased per the drawings and specifications. This solicitation is issued unrestricted. The Government intends to partner this project. The SIC Code is 1542 and size standard is $17.0 mil. The construction cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
