60 -- FIBER OPTIC TRANSMITTER/RECEIVER PAIR SOL RFQBF6053 DUE 021500 POC Rena Cerbone, Contracting Officer, Tel: (617)495-7445, Fax: (617)495-7485, email: rcerbone@cfa.harvard.edu The Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (SAO) intends to award on a Sole Source basis, a purchase order to Anacom Systems Corporation of New Brunswick, New Jersey for the following item: Twenty-Two (22) pair, of fiber optic transmitter/receivers consisting of a 50 to 2000MHz 1.5um Transmitter P/N: AC221T-1.5 and 50 to 2000MHz 1.5um Receiver P/N: AC221R-1.5. These transmitter/receiver pairs are part of SAO's IF/LO for the Submillimeter Array Project, which has been designed and fabricated around these components. A determination by SAO not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of SAO. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is being conducted under the guidelines as set forth in the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). No written solicitation will be issued for this requirement.
