The above numbered solicitation is re-opened and amended as follows: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport, RI intends to purchase, Under Full and Open Competition, twenty (20) rackmount disk enclosures (chassis), each enclosure capable of holding six (6) removable disk drives (18.2 GB "Cheetah") in Kingston carriers. The enclosures will be installed in groups of two (2) enclosures per disk subsystem resulting in a total of 10 disk subsystems with a capacity of 12 disk drives per subsystem. As stated in prior announcements, the equipment provided must meet the stated specifications and compatibility requirements. Additional details and specifications will be provided in a formal Request for Quote, (RFQ). The estimated RFQ release date is February 11, 2000 with a response time of approximately one week.
