Hutfles, Contracting Officer (41) 395-7479 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a requirement for geotechnical drilling services. The geotechnical services will be of a geotechnical nature to determine the type, extent and characteristics of subsurface materials at selected sites within the Pittsburgh District. The types of work to be performed may include drilling, sampling, testing, reaming of foundation relief drains, installation of instrumentation and installation of well screens for monitoring, pump testing and dewatering. Work shall include environmental drilling and may be required at potentially hazardous, toxic and radioactive waste sites. A wide variety of differing site and access conditions can be expected to include flat paved areas, heavily wooded steep terrain, confined areas such as tunnels and dam galleries and on water from a floating plant. An indefinite-delivery firm fixed price contract is anticipated. The proposed contract will be for a based period with 4 (1) year option periods. Pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program established by Public Law 100-656, "Business Opportunity Development Reform Act of 1988", this procurement will be unrestricted and any resulting award will be made pursuant to the above program.
