16TH ANNUAL DOD LOGISTICS CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION NDIA invites you to attend the 16th Annual DoD Logistics Symposium & Exhibition, March 13-16, 2000 at the Hyatt Regency Crown Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Last year's event focused on transforming the business of logistics, by building and growing the right partnerships, with the goal of reforming DoD's logistics support systems and infrastructure to meet the needs of modern warfighters. The symposium brought together more than 300 government and industry participants asking critical questions and engaging in spontaneous dialogue that added great value to the conference. OBJECTIVE: This year's symposium theme: "The Integrated Logistics Value Chain -- Establishing the Links in Streamlining the Process", offers insight on the changes and challenges faced by industry and government as they streamline their value chains. Today both are framing the issues that must be addressed to achieve value chain integration for the 21st Century. And at or near the top of every list must be the adoption of current and future technologies that will yield customer-focused logistic solutions. At the same time, logistics, acquisition, and financial reform issues are forcing the leaders in government and industry to push their horizons farther than ever before. Now, the question must be asked -- what does the leadership see for tomorrow and for the next ten years? And, what are the promises, opportunities, and challenges that lie ahead?
