R -- PURCHASE OF COMMERCIAL IMPORT/EXPORT DATA The U.S. Army Engineer District, New Orleans, in support of the Waterborne Commerce Statistic Center, intends to purchase several items of foreign data from Ports Imports Export Reporting Service (PIERS), a division of The Journal of Commerce. PIERS compiles a comprehensive electronic database of import, export and intransit waterborne commerce to and from foreign countries through coastal ports of the U.S. PIERS is the only known commercial source for this data.
