This is a modification to the synopsis entitled NASA Dryden DC-8 "C" Check and Corrosion Prevention and Control Program, Solicitation No.: P-0-OG-00008, which was posted on 04FEB00. You are notified that the following changes are made: 1) Pursuant to FAR 5.207(c)(2)(xiv) the following statement justifying the lack of competition is added to the synopsis: "Competition is being limited to the identified companies because they possess the requisite experience and FAA certified facilities and personnel for performing repairs to the DC-8 fleet. Also, identified companies are available to perform the DC-8 "C" Check and CPCP during the 45 day time frame, NOV00 -- DEC00". 2) Typographical error, in the 10 U.S.C. citation referenced in the synopsis, is corrected to read "Limited" vs Limted. The due date for receipt of capabilities statement is not extended.
