Herting The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) is seeking a Contractor to perform the following tasks regarding the PBGC's Integrated Present Value of Future Benefits (IPVFB) actuarial software: (1) software maintenance and development of enhancements to the existing software; (2) revisions and updates to the system documentation and to the documentation of the manual control procedures; (3)onsite support to the Actuarial Services Division during the quarterly valuations of the Present Value of Future Benefits(PVFB); and (4) related projects to enhance the accuracy, reliability, or auditability of the PVFB process. In addition, although some personnel from outside the Washington, D. C. area may be used, PBGC intends to limit competition to those offerors who maintain an office in the Washington, DC Standard Metropolitan Statistical Area, as defined by the US Department of Commerce. The period of performance for the base contract will be from October 1, 2000 through September 30, 2001, with four one-year options for renewal at PBGC's discretion.
