This acquisition originally appeared in an early December 1999 electronic CBD announcement under the solicitation number TIRNO-00-Q-00055. That action is being readvertised under a new solicitation number, identified above. A contractor shall furnish all vehicles, equipment, qualified drivers, mechanics, supervision, maintenance, fuel, signs, uniforms, operating supplies, and obtain/maintain the necessary permits, franchises, licenses and/or other authorizations and certifications required of commercial carriers to provide safe regularly scheduled shuttle services. Two shuttle routes will connect the Headquarters Building at 1111 Constitution Ave., NW, Washington DC with locations in New Carrollton and Oxon Hill, Maryland. One route will require the use of a 21-passenger van, the other will require a 15-passenger van. Operation will be from Monday thru Friday, 52 weeks per year, except on Federal holidays and other non-work days observed by the Federal Government. Disabled shuttle services will be on a call as needed basis. The driver and vehicle to provide these services shall meet the requirements of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, 29 U.S.C., paragraph 794, as amended. The shuttle vehicle for these services shall be accessible for standard/motorized wheel chairs and motor scooters, and shall include appropriate securement for these vehicles.
