This amendment hereby changes the following: 1. Extends the RFQ submittal date from February 1, 2000 to February 24, 2000. 2. Amends Section II Technical Approach 3.7.2 -- a. There is a possibility that the first floor, E-ring (under the existing Metro escalator) may not be available until February 2001. Provide two project-phasing plans, one if the space becomes available at contract award and an alternative phasing plan if the space is unavailable until February 2001. b. Address in construction phasing, the following concerns:  Preserving the function and efficiency of ongoing bus operations and facilities;  Preserving the safety and convenience of bus and rail passengers; and,  Mitigating the impact on commuter buses, car and vanpools, and taxi services.
