The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate an order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) F34601-97-G-0002 with General Electric Aircraft Engines (GEAE), 1000 Western Avenue, Lynn, MA 01910-0445, for the non-recurring efforts necessary to retrofit the T700-GE-401 engines with an improved Digital Electronic Control Unit (DECU). GEAE is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the -401 engine and is the only known firm capable of providing the above work in a timely manner.
