The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS) has a requirement for services to maintain the Pacific Northwest Metropolitan Area Network (PNWMAN) for a base period of 01 May 00 through 30 Sep 00, with two, 12 month option periods. The Contractor shall provide all material, labor, supplies, vehicles, test equipment, tools, and any other items required to maintain the equipment and software that comprises the PNWMAN. The equipment is located at the following locations: Naval Station Everett, Naval Submarine Base Bangor, Naval Hospital Bremerton, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport, and the Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. The equipment at each location includes, at a minimum, the following: FORE 2.5 or 5 Gbps Backbone ATM switch; ForeThought PNNI License; PowerHub 7000 Enterprise Multi-Layer Switch; Microcom Dial Modem; and a Newbridge System 3624 M-Access-2W/4W LR. Maintenance shall include both preventative and remedial maintenance. Personnel at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and NUWC Keyport must have a SECRET clearance. This acquisition will be solicited utilizing FAR Part 12, Commercial Acquisition Procedures. In accordance with FAR 5.203(h), the RFQ offer due date will be reduced to 30 days from the date of publication of this announcement.
