This is a combined synopsis/ solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. (ii) Solicitation F44600-00-Q0107 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). Written documentation will not be issued for this quote. (iii) The solicitation is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) FAR Part 12. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15. (iv) The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 7371 with a size standard, averaged over a one year period of $18,000,000. (v) Langley AFB plans to procure a sole source acquisition with Digital Space Systems, Inc. (DSSI) for annual software maintenance subscription services. In addition DSSI holds the sole license for the sale of Searchmaster/Casemaster. (vi) The following requirements are applicable: The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, materials, tools supervision, and other items and services necessary to provide annual software maintenance service to provide 24-hour system support, to include trouble-shooting, upgrades, and site visitation, for the Searchmaster/Casemaster search and rescue management software utilized by the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center (AFRCC).
