The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, on behalf of the Program Executive Officer -- Tactical Aircraft Programs {PEO(T)}, plans to award a contract to BAE Systems for hardware and software systems engineering and integration support for MIDS Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) equipment. This sole source contract will provide the support necessary to complete the remaining MIDS LVT test and integration activities and transition to a Software Support Activity (SSA). This effort will require the contractor to perform integrated system engineering support for the remaining MIDS LVT test and integration activities. System engineering support will be necessary to quickly identify and implement EMD hardware and software solutions to problems that may arise at test and integration sites. The anticipated categories of support activities include technical services; integrated hardware and software systems engineering services; depot repair services for EMD equipment; modification, upgrade and retrofit of EMD equipment; correction of deficiencies to the EMD produced software; software maintenance and block cycle upgrade; delivery of software product baseline documentation; installation and platform support services; and production of EMD spares. It is anticipated that a one-year indefinite quantity, indefinite delivery contract will be awarded with fixed price and time and material pricing arrangements with four one-year options.
