DESC: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR SUBPART 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Therefore, this synopsis shall serve as a request for quotations, numbered F41621-00-T-0058, 30-day immersion training in Irbid, Jordon for six (6) military personnel. Contractor to provide travel from student's assigned base to Irbid, Jordan and return student to assigned base. Student listing: 3 students from the 31 IS Ft Gordon GA, 2 students from the 25 IS Hurlburt Field FL, and 1 student from the 694 IG Ft Meade MD. All students shall attend the same events/classes. Provide lodging with private room and indoor toilet, 3 meals provided daily (at least 1800 calories a day). Instructor ratio no more than 1 to 6 students. Plan of instruction must be approved by HQ/AIA/DOOF. Training materials must focus on listening, speaking, reading and writing at the 2+/3 level as measured by the Defense Language Proficiency Test; use mainly native texts. Provide at least 40 hours of classroom instruction and 40 hours of cultural events required. Cultural events must include: One visit to a national art, history, or cultural museum; one visit to a military museum; one visit to a cultural event (opera, ballet, circus, etc); one visit to a religious facility; one visit to a historic battlefield (if available); one visit to a military facility (if available); three-day stay in Amman; subject matter expert to accompany students on events. Transportation shall be provided to and from each event and any admission fees must be paid by the contractor. Contractor shall assist with visa and country clearance procedures. Contractor must provide evacuation plan and medical/dental assistance for students. All students must be contacted prior to the trip and must be provided any necessary funds for meals prior to departure. All students must be provided with airplane tickets and itinerary 1 week prior to class start. Members must travel during the month of May. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) for this acquisition is 8299. THIS IS SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS. The small business size standard is $5 million dollars.
