Service, a wholly-owned Government Corporation intends to award a
contract to a qualified vendor who can provide hotel and meeting room
space in the immediate Washington, DC metropolitan area. The hotel must
be accessible to public transportation. It is preferable that all
events be held at the same hotel, however, bids on all or part of the
following requirements will be accepted. (1) On March 5-10, 2000, the
requirements are as follows: One double suite or a single large suite
to be used as a workroom. A phone with two (2) lines will be required
for the workroom. On March 5, 80 sleeping rooms, 27 meeting rooms with
a table and chairs to seat five people; on March 6-7, 98 sleeping
rooms, 27 meeting rooms with a table and chairs to seat five people. On
March 8-9, 75 sleeping rooms, 27 meeting rooms (20 rooms on March 9)
with a table and chairs to seat five people. On March 10, 10 sleeping
rooms, 20 meeting rooms with a table and chairs to seat five people.
For each of the meeting rooms, a flip chart will be required. A large
room with either tables (rounds of 8) or chairs with desktops for 120
people on March 6 with a microphone and overhead projector from 8:00 am
to 12:00 pm. A large room with chairs for 80 people in a circle or
several semi-circles on March 10 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. (2) On March
19-24, 2000, the requirements are as follows: One double suite or a
single large suite to be used as a workroom. A phone with two (2) lines
will be required for the workroom. On March 19, 60 sleeping rooms, 22
meeting rooms with a table and chairs to seat five people; on March
20-21, 73 sleeping rooms, 22 meeting rooms with a table and chairs to
seat five people. On March 22-23, 60 sleeping rooms, 22 meeting rooms
(16 rooms on March 23) with a table and chairs to seat five people. On
March 24, 5 sleeping rooms, 16 meeting rooms with a table and chairs
to seat five people. For each of the meeting rooms, a flip chart will
be required. A large room with either tables (rounds of 8) or chairs
with desktops for 100 people on March 20 with a microphone and overhead
projector from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. A large room with chairs for 70
people in a circle or several semi-circles on March 24 from 3:00 pm to
5:00 pm. (3) On March 26-31, 2000, the requirements are as follows:
One double suite or a single large suite to be used as a workroom. A
phone with two (2) lines will be required for the workroom. On March
26, 52 sleeping rooms, 18 meeting rooms with a table and chairs to seat
five people; on March 27-28, 67 sleeping rooms, 18 meeting rooms with
a table and chairs to seat five people. On March 29, 58 sleeping rooms,
18 meeting rooms with a table and chairs to seat five people. On March
30, 54 sleeping rooms, 13 meeting rooms with a table and chairs to
seat five people. On March 31, 16 sleeping rooms, 12 meeting rooms with
a table and chairs to seat five people. For each of the meeting rooms,
a flip chart will be required. A large room with either tables (rounds
of 8) or chairs with desktops for 100 people on March 27 with a
microphone and overhead projector from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. One
additional room with either tables (rounds of 8) or chairs with
desktops for 40 people on March 27 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. A large room
with chairs for 60 people in a circle or several semi-circles on March
31 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. (4) On May 21-25, 2000, the requirements
are as follows: One double suite or a single large suite to be used as
a workroom. A phone with two (2) lines will be required for the
workroom. On May 21-24, 18 sleeping rooms and 5 meeting rooms with a
table and chairs to seat five people. On May 25, 8 sleeping rooms, 1
meeting room with a table and chairs to seat five people. A flip chart
will be required for the meeting room. A room with either tables
(rounds of 8) or chairs with desktops for 60 people on May 22 with a
microphone and overhead projector from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. A room with
chairs for 30 people in a circle or several semi-circles on May 24 from
3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.The meeting rooms specified in requirements 1-4 may
be sleeping rooms with furnishings removed or positioned to allow for
a table and five chairs and the use of a flip chart. (5) On March
19-26, a total of 6 suites or 6 sets of adjoining rooms. On March
27-31, a total of 8 suites or 8 sets of adjoining rooms. On May 21-26,
a total of 6 suites or 6 sets of adjoining rooms. One flip chart is
required for each suite or set of adjoining rooms. Price quotes due at
