The project consists of construction of a Central Energy Plant, Eglin AFB, Florida. The plant will consist of a steel framed building with slab on grade type floor and concrete foundation. This new facility will be a free-standing central energy facility housing the existing chiller and boiler assets that will be relocated from the main hospital to the new plant. A new multi-cell cooling tower, new electric generators and associated switchgear along with new manual power switchgear and panels are to be provided and connected to the existing hospital wiring system. Installation of lightning/transient voltage protection devices will be provided. Existing aboveground fuel and bulk oxygen storage tanks will also be relocated to the proximity of the new Central Energy Plant. A pre-proposal conference will be conducted at Eglin AFB, Florida, Building 666 Conference Room, Date: 16 March 2000, Time: 9:00 am(cst).
