combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in
the notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation;
quotes are being requested and written solicitation will not be issued.
(ii) This solicitation is issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ)
133-017. (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions
are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-15.
(iv) This solicitation is open to ONLY small businesses under Standard
Industrial Classification (SIC) Code of 3646, with a size standard of
500 employees. Other forms referenced herein are required to be
completed and submitted with all quotations. (v) The contractor shall
provide unit price for the following: Various clothing articles as
indicated in section "vi". (vi) GENERAL: (Item number/description
including size/quantity breakdown / total quantity& unit of issue) [1]
4 ft. Polycarbonate Surface Luminaire. Back plate shall be die formed
16 gauge cold rolled steel. Lense shall be one piece UV stabilized
minimum of .15625" thru .21875" polycarbonate material. Lense shall be
prismatically designed to facilitate even light distribution. Lense
shall cover entire metal back plate leaving no metal exposed on bottom
and sides. Power Module: Electrical components shall be mounted to a
unitized power module with quick disconnect that is removable without
tools to facilitate service. Type thhn or equal wire shall be used
throughout. Ballast: Shall be class P, electronic energy saving 120VAC
primary, instant start, less than 20% third harmonic distortion,
minimum starting temperature 32deg. F, inherent thermal protection,
high frequency, ballast must operate two F32T8 fluorescent lamps. Also
mounted in the power module shall be a night light. The night light
socket and ballast must accommodate a 7 watt Biax fluorescent lamp base
type G23. Fasteners: If machine screws are used to fasten lense to
steel back box they shall be stainless steel machine type screws with
torx head with out center reject pin. Finish: Steel back box shall have
a white finish that produces a reflectance value of 90% or better. This
fixture must UL approved for damp locations. / 46 EA [2] 4 ft. maximum
security surface light fixture. Housing: Clamshell designed with
sloped sides and ends. Shall be die-formed from cold rolled 14 gauge
steel with continuously welded and ground seams. Housing shall have
adequate fasteners on each long side to ensure even contact with the
mounting surface. Backplate: Shall be die formed 14 gauge cold rolled
steel with raised mounting holes to maintain positive metal to mounting
surface contact. All sides shall have a V shaped compound bend to form
an integral irretrievable blade trap and increase strength. Hinge:
Housing shall be hinged on one side with an adequate continuous hinge
to support the weight. The hinge shall be hidden to prevent tampering.
Hinge shall be designed with a slotted system to facilitate removal of
housing from back plate to enable installation and maintenance. Lense:
Shall be clear tempered glass approximately 3/8" thick the lense shall
have an overlay of some type of prismatic diffuser to facilitate even
light distribution. The lense shall be installed in such a manner to
allow replacement if broken. Power Module: Electrical components shall
be mounted to a unitized power module with quick disconnect that is
removable without tools to facilitate service. Type thhn or equal wire
shall be used throughout. Ballast: Shall be class P, electronic energy
saving 120VAC Primary, instant start, less than20% third harmonic
distortion, minimum starting temperature 32deg. F, inherent thermal
protection, high frequency, must be parallel operation of (2) F32T8
fluorescent lamps. Also mounted in the power module shall be a night
light. The night light socket and ballast must accommodate a 7 watt
biax fluorescent lamp base type G23. Fasteners: There shall bea minimum
of eight stainless steel fasteners,angled to pull housing up to the
mounting surface, these fasteners shall secure through captive cagenuts
that are accessible without removing back plate from mounting surface.

without center reject pin. Photometric Data: The minimum maintained
foot candle light distribution shall be no less than 20 foot candles.
This minimum foot candle requirement shall be calculated on a
volumetric room dimension of 6'-2" wide x 9'-11" long x 8'-10" high.
The 8'-10" dimension is the floor to ceiling height. The fixture will
be positioned on the ceiling in center of room with the long dimension
of fixture corresponding to the long dimension of the room. The room
reflectance will be based on all sides being semi-gloss white, with
exception of the floor which is semi-gloss medium gray. Color and
finish of metal parts: Shall be white polyester powder coat finish over
multi-stage phosphatizing pretreatment to ensure superior paint
adhesion and rust resistance, producing a minimum reflectance of 90%.
/ 60 EA [3] Surface mounting adapter for Cresent 4' light fixture
NLT240ASSOCT. This adapter shall be made of steel and be the same color
and finish as the fixture. Also the mounting adapter shall be the same
length and width as the bottom mounting surface of the fixture to
ensure a positive fit between the two parts. The height of the adapter
shall be of sufficient size to accommodate up to 3/4" conduit. The
adapter must be designed to accept conduit on all four sides. The
adapter shall have captive nuts and machine bolts of the same size and
large enough to support the weight of the fixture. Also there shall be
enough mounting bolts to ensure a continuous fit between the adapter
and fixture. / 170 EA [4] 4 ft. maximum security surface light fixture.

Accessories: The light fixture shall have the larger of the two
ballasts switch controlled. The switch shall be mounted in eighter of
the narrow ends of the housing cover. The switch shall be a (# 71
McGill ) 6 ampere 125 Volt AC single pole, lever type, all angle pull
chain with rope extension. / 163 ea [5] Polycarbonate Surface
Luminaire: One piece, die cast aluminum housing. Separate ballast
compartment to optimize thermal performance. Housing shall accommodate
a minimum of .5" conduit on all four sides. Lense: One piece, UV
stabilize, shall include a prismatic design to allow even light
distribution. There shall be a positive seal between the housing and
the lense. Ballast: Shall be of size to operate one 13 Watt Biax
fluorescent lamp, lamp holder shall be a GX23 type base. Fasteners:
Fasteners to secure lense shall be stainless steel machine screws
without center reject pin. Reflectance: Fixture shall produce a minimum
of 90% reflectance. Wiring: Type thhn wiring or equal shall be used
throughout fixture. Exterior Finish: Exterior finish of the aluminum
housing shall be a bronze powder coat finish over multi-stage
phosphatizing pretreatment to ensure superior paint adhesion and rust
resistance. Ratings: This fixture shall be approved for damp locations.
Also shall be UL and CSA approved. Voltage: Primary Ballast voltage
120VAC / 4 EA [6] Fluorescent lamp holder: shallow base slide on quick
wire 660 watt 1000V, for single pin T8 &T12 lamps, plunger type end.
