The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis, and will award the purchase order on a sole source basis with Trivec-Avant Corporation, 17831 Jamestown Lane, Huntington Beach, CA 92647-7136 for the part number listed below, under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. Trivec-Avant Model AV-2011 SATCOM Antennas are required for a Joint Base Station's Variant 1 (JBS(V)1) application to ensure full mission interoperability with previously fielded JBS(V)1 systems. It has been determined that no other SATCOM antenna can fulfill the Government's minimum requirement. The contract line item number and description is: CLIN 0001 -- Part number AV-2011, Antenna, Ancillary (Qty 10 EA). Award is expected to be in MAR 2000. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all information received from interested parties by 28 FEB 2000 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
