Services require the engineer to be familiar with the history of the development of small diameter fiber optic (SDFO) undersea cables, including R&D program development, specialized survivability test methods and the schedule/cost issues of SDFO systems. Services require the collection of data and preparation of data products that are compliant with ADS and data products shall cover all threats to seafloor cable systems associated with man-made activities, including commercial fishing, sport fishing, dredging, offshore construction and related threats.
