Technology (IT) Security Awareness Computer Based Training (CBT) This
is a request for information. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM)
is seeking qualified potential sources to provide a comprehensive
Computer Based Training (CBT) tool that will provide computer security
awareness training for OPM end users. The requirements for mandatory
periodic awareness training are set forth in OMB Circular A-130,
Appendix III, the Computer Security Act of 1987, and the 5 CFR Part
930, Section 301. The tool must be able to run in the following
environments: LAN (Microsoft Windows NT Server V4.0, Novell NetWare
V4.xx), Desktop (Microsoft Windows 95, Microsoft Windows NT V4.0), and
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0/5.0. The software must provide a
user-friendly interface, navigational capabilities, interactive
exercises, partial save and restart capability, final quiz, course
completion tracking, reporting capability, and an average completion
time of less than 2 hours. The course content shall cover, at a
minimum, the following information: enhancement of employee awareness
of the threats to and vulnerability of computer systems; good computer
security practices; and employee's responsibilities for computer
security. The vendor must have a product that is already developed that
can be customized to OPM requirements. The vendor must also provide
reference information on other Federal agencies that have purchased the
product. Vendors should indicate whether the candidate product is
available on the GSA Schedule. Site and individual licensing must be
available. This announcement is a request for information only and does
not obligate the Government in any way. This is not a formal request
for proposal. Response to this request is on a voluntary basis and
failure to respond will not impact any future acquisitions. The Point
