The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Region, Davis Dam facility has a need for the fallowing. The Requirement It is required there be furnished and delivered complete in accordance with these specifications, including the drawings listed in section J hereof, the reconditioned heat exchangers described in the schedule for Reconditioning Generator Heat Exchangers, Lower Colorado Dams Facilities Office, Davis Dam Field Division, Parker -- Davis Project, Arizona. The reconditioned heat exchangers being reconditioned under these specifications are required for cooling the generators at the above-named installation which is located about 2 miles north of Bullhead City, Arizona, in Mohave County. The material or equipment is not required to be installed under these specifications. Installation will be accomplished by Bureau of Reclamation personnel during future scheduled maintenance service shut-downs. Description of the Work The work to be performed under this solicitation consists of reconditioning eight (8) heat exchangers from one generator unit at the Davis Dam Power plant. Principal features of the work include the following: a. Loading and transporting the heat exchangers from Davis Dam to the Contractor's facilities; and return upon completion of the work. b. Replace all cooling tubes and fins. c. Clean and recondition the heat exchanger heads. d. Reassemble units. e. Perform pressure tests at the Davis Dam facility prior to final acceptance.
