project provides for the repair and replacement of a pipeline system
from the pump house, passing the M power plant, the K heating plant,
and ending at the Cluster I facility. At the M-plant, a branch
connection is made to existing piping. 4,200 feet of an 8-inch line
from the pump house to the branch connection at the M-plant and 5,800
feet of a 6-inch line from this point to the Cluster I facility are
required. All piping must be run above ground except for 200 feet of
6-inch pipe buried at road crossings. This project willl include all
required sectioning valves, tank valves, pressure relief valves, drain
valves, air bleed valves, expansion loops, anchor points, and
supports. The pipeline shall be run above ground on wooden supports.
Pipeline run under ground shall use a double wall pipe system with leak
detection and penetrations of dikes of containment basins shall use
leak free pipe sleeves. The award will be a Firm Fixed Price contract.
Magnitude: $500,000 -- $1,000,000. The anticipated performance period
is between 17 July 2000 and 06 October 2000. All responsible sources
may submit a proposal which shall be considered. The summer at Thule
Air Base is extremely short and shipment of materials can only take
place in June/July. Special Note: All discussion leading to contract
award shall take place at the Contracting Office located in the Embassy
of the United States of America, Copenhagen, Denmark. All parties
responding to this synopsis and any costs incurred as a result of
subsequent discussions prior to award of contract are the sole
responsibility of the interested parties. Interested parties can obtain
