project provides for the repair of an above ground vertical 55,000
barrel fuel bulk storage tank (#21) and containment basin. Work on tank
includes repair to dented cylindrical shell, cracked roof, loose
columns, corrosion pitted bottom plates and torn-loose stairway and
railing. The cylindrical shell shall be reinforced and proper water
draining facilities provided. Tank shall have interior epoxy coating of
bottom and first four feet of cylindrical wall and exterior protective
coating. Work on basin includes removal of contaminated soil, grading,
restoring of dikes, and placing of a liquid tight lining. The award
will be a Firm Fixed Price contract. Magnitude: $1,000,000 --
$5,000,000. The anticipated performance period is between 03 July 2000
and 01 October 2000. All responsible sources may submit a proposal
which shall be considered. The summer at Thule Air Base is extremely
short and shipment of materials can only take place in June/July.

at the Contracting Office located in the Embassy of the United States
of America, Copenhagen, Denmark. All parties responding to this
synopsis and any costs incurred as a result of subsequent discussions
prior to award of contract are the sole responsibility of the
