The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis, under the authority of 13.501(a) under the "Test Program for Certain Commercial Items", with EPI MBE Products Group, 4900 Constellation Drive, Saint Paul, MN 55127-2218 for an upgrade to an existing EPI Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) Chamber. EPI is the only source to provide this upgrade, as they are the original manufacturer of the equipment and hold the patent on the NIST owned MBE Chamber. The following equipment shall be included in the upgrade: 1) VA-400g-AL 400g SUMO Source for use with Aluminum in an EPI Mod GEN II MBE System; 2) VA-400g-DF-DT 400g SUMO Source for use with Ga or IN in a MOD GEN II MBE System; 3) 205023 400g aL-Sumo Crucible; 4) 204052 400g Sumo Crucible with Lip; 5) VA-5-D 5cc Capacity Fast Dopant Effusion Cell for use in a GEN II MBE System; 6) PSC-2404S-DCM Effusion Cell Controller with DC Power Module; 7) CAR-SMC Servo Motor Controller for GEN II CAR, Dual axis for SubstrateRotation and position; 8) 223894 ASSY 0-200 RGA Kit; 9) 223898 ASSY RHEED GUN KIT; 10) TBD Bake Module, Digital Timer Nodule for install in System Chassis; 11) 191004 Bake Module, 94c Bake Controller, DRC Contactor, 930/GEN II; 12) 194003 Electrical Assembly, GEN II Bake Contactor Box, N.
