This proposed Contract is for Unrestricted Competition. JOB DESCRIPTION: Construct a new 3400 SM Fire Station and Supporting Facilities, including concrete foundation and floor slab, structural steel frame, CMU exterior walls, exhaust and maintenance systems, communications and fire alarm systems (for central dispatch), utilities, paving and landscaping. Work also includes a Taxiway Access Road (in high security and environmentally sensitive area), and demolition of the existing fire station (contains asbestos). The procurement will be conducted under SIC CODE 1542. The standard size for this SIC CODE is $17,000,000.00. The Bidders ATTENTION is directed to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for information regarding the Tour of the Site. Large Businesses competing for this project must comply with the FAR 52.219-9 Clause regarding the requirement for Subcontracting Plan on the part of the work it intends to subcontract. The recommended goals for subcontracting are 62% for Small Business, 10% for Small Disadvantaged Businesses, and 5% for Small Business/Women-Owned. A firm that submits a plan with lesser goals must submit written rationale to support goals submitted. The estimated cost is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00.
