16 -- PARACHUTE COMPONENTS SOL N68936-00-T-0052 DUE 031200 POC Margaret Keen, Contract Specialist, (760) 939-4665, Doreen Robbins, Contracting Officer, (760) 939-9665 The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division intends award a Simplified Acquisition Purchase order to purchase a quantity of up to 35 each Universal Water Activated Systems (UWARS), and a quantity of up to 35 FLU-10/P, Inflation Assembly (Zero Leak). The (UWARS) is a salt water activated, automatic parachute release that detaches the main parachute canopy in the event of a water landing. The Zero-Leak Inflation Assembly attaches to and inflates the LRU-16/P Parachute Survival Ensemble (PSE), an emergency parachute system designed for the E-2C aircraft. The UWARS and the FLU-10/P were previously developed and qualified for the Air Force. Any procured salt water activated, automatic parachute releases and zero-leak inflation assemblies must be identical to the existing items for interchangeability and compatibility. Award will be made on an Other Than Full and Open Competition basis to Conax Florida Corp., 2801 -- 75th St., North, St. Petersburg, FL 33710. All responsible sources may submit an offer,which will be considered by the Agency. Any offerors will be required to submit information to verify their prior experience in the manufacture of salt water activated, automatic parachute releases and zero-leak inflation assemblies built to specific design.
