Sources sought -- DSCC-NR, in partnership with the Program Manager, M9 Armored Combat Earthmover (M9 ACE) is investigating the feasibility of a polyurethane track pad to replace the existing rubber track pad for the M9 ACE. The track shoe pad will be made in accordance with drawing 19207 -- 13204E2680, Revision E, EXCEPT polyurethane will be used in lieu of rubber for the pad. The polyurethane compound used shall have abrasion and wear resistance superior to the rubber currently used and shall have traction characteristics at least equal to the rubber. Future Request For Quotation will require the following information: the type of polyurethane to be used, typical properties, traction characteristics and technical support during evaluation testing. A Request For Quotation will be issued late February.
