=38. E-MAIL: George Robertson, NONE. Solicitation No. 00Q038 is issued
as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). NOTE: SOLICITATION NO. 00Q0037 WAS
CANCELED; ANY QUOTERS WISHING TO SUBMIT A QUOTATION MUST SUBMIT A NEW
QUOTATION UNDER RFQ NUMBER 00Q0038 AND THIS AMENDMENT PER THE
INSTRUCTIONS HEREIN DUE TO CHANGES IN THE ITEMS REQUESTED. ANY
QUOTATION SUBMITTED UNDER NUMBER 00Q0037 WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. This
action is a 100% small business set-aside. The SIC code is 5065 and the
size standard is 500 employees. The U.S. Secret Service has a
requirement for a quantity of Thermal Imager hand-held Palm IR 250,
Raytheon equipment, 9 each, per the notice published in the EPS and the
CBD for hand-held thermal imagers under solicitation 00Q038. The
following clarification is provided: Question: My understanding is that
the part number 3193775-1 comes with all the items listed in your
solicitation 00Q038 except for the item 0002, twist lock mount plate
with connector, part number 3193957-2, item 0004, deluxe carrying case
part number 3193777-8, and you are also asking for an extra battery
per set per item 0005. Is this understanding corect? Answer: The part
number for item 0001, 3193775-1, was provided for the purpose of
identifying the basic hand-held Palm IR unit required. If your
understanding is that the part number 3193775-1 already comes with a
certain set of items as identified in solicitation 00Q0038, then those
items under a set of one per unit each are to be supplied as per items
0003, 0005, 0006, 0007, and 0008. The total quantity of batteries under
item 0005 is correct for this requirement; if this requires one extra
battery from a standard set, the extra battery quantity is correct. If
the use of a deluxe carrying case 3193777-8 is a subsittution for a
standard case supplied with part number 3193775-1, this is also correct
and the substituted case shall be provided. The twist lock mount plate
with connector part number 3193957-2 is required. Only one 75mm lens
is required. Shipment is FOB Destination (all freight included in the
offered price) within 6 weeks after receipt of contract to the U.S.
Secret Service Technical Security Division, 843 Brightseat Road (Rear),
Landover, MD 20785. EVALUATION PROCEDURES: Quoters shall provide points
of contact by name, telephone number, and organization with whom you
have had contracts within the last eighteen months. If the company has
not been in existence for eighteen months, provide resume information
on corporate staff. This past performance information shall be graded
as acceptable, unacceptable or neutral. Award shall be made to the
lowest priced, responsible quoter with acceptable past performance
whose offer conforms to the terms of the solicitation as stated herein.
Upon award, no substitutions may be made for the offered brand-name
accepted by the Government. Quoters must include a signed copy of the
Representations and Certifications (FAR 52.212-3) and Veterans
Reporting Requirements with their offers. Copies of the FAR clauses

3 p.m. Eastern Time. Offers shall be addressed to the following: U.S.
