The Department of Veterans Affairs, Upstate New York VA Healthcare System is seeking qualified firms who have the technical expertise and capability to provide Hemoglobin Alc (HgbAlc) testing. The agreement shall be structured for cost/reportable pricing, and shall include consumables, reagents, service and Captial Equipment. Instrumentation capabilities shall include, (1)Primary Tube Sampling. (2)Auto-mixing of the specimen prior to the testing of the specimen. (3)Cap piercing of primary tubes that have been previously uncapped for alternate testing. (4) Data network abilities that include quality control management, patient data storage, and moderm access for remote trouble shooting. All testing shall be in accordance with VHA Directive 99-042,(September 21, 1999) all methods for HgbAlc testing must be certified by the National Glycohemoglobin Standardization Program (NGSP).
