The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), through the General Acquisitions Branch, Program Support Center (PSC), intends to award a six (6) month sole source simplified acquisition to One Church-One Addict, Inc. (OCOA) in Washington, DC. OCOA has extensive expertise in effectively involving faith organizations in the substance abuse battle, and maintains partnerships with essential contacts and organizations in the two cities essential to the completion of this project. Work under this contract will convene one-day conferences in Louisville, KY and Chicago, IL. The conferences will bring together faith organizations with existing drug prevention and treatment programs that are certified or have appropriate recognized treatment skill competencies, organizations interested in developing programs, mental health experts, physicians and recovering addicts & youth that have been exposed to the drug culture with the goal of creating a stronger network of congregations operating drug prevention and treatment programs and to shape a comprehensive action plan for the "faith community".
