Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA),
through the General Acquisitions Branch, Program Support Center (PSC),
intends to award a six (6) month sole source simplified acquisition to
The Congress of National Black Churches, Inc. (CNBC) in Washington, DC.
CNBC has extensive expertise in drug prevention and treatment, and
maintains partnerships with African-American faith communities, other
faith communities, local Government, and substance abuse, health and
HIV/AIDS providers essential to complete the project. Work under this
contract shall develop and convene a two-day conference, modeled after
other CNBC substance abuse and violence meetings. The goals of the
project are: (1) to create a stronger network of faith-based
communities operating drug prevention and treatment programs that are
certified or have appropriate recognized treatment skill competencies
and (2) to develop a community action plan on drug abuse prevention and
treatment for the District of Columbia. Closing date is February 28,
