The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for meeting space and services for the Telecommunications Opportunities Program (TOP) Networks for People 2000 Conference for October 29-31, 2000. The hotel shall be within close proximity to downtown Washington, DC, to accommodate participants that travel by air, rail, and auto and the work in the Washington, DC area. The facilities must be able to hold up to 700 participants. The contractor shall have a sufficient number of reasonably-priced rooms, such as the Federal Government per diem, for attendees. The specific services are described in the Statement of Work included in the Request for Quotation. The Request for Quotation is being issued utilizing FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Government anticipates to award a firm-fixed price purchase order within two weeks after the due date. The Request for Quotation package will be issued on or about February 15, 2000 with quotes due within 15 calendar days.
