The Air Mobility Command (AMC) Contracting Flight now anticipates issuance of a competitive solicitation for C-9A/C Nightingale pilot academic and simulator training. The Nightingale is a modified version of the Boeing Company's DC-9. The requirement is for the following six (6) courses: Initial Qualification Training, Aircraft Commander Upgrade/Requalification Training, Instructor Pilot Training, Sr. Officer Training, Annual Refresher and Mission Oriented Simulator Training, and Simulator Time. Offeror shall provide an FAA certified Class C or better DC-9 flight simulator and be a FAA FAR Part 142 certificate holder at contract start date. The resultant contract will be a requirements contract commencing approximately 1 Oct 2000 for a basic year plus four option years. Solicitation issue date is on or about 10 Mar 2000 with a closing date on or about 14 Apr 2000. This acquisition is NOT subject to the Service Contract Act. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code for this acquisition is 8299 with the Small Business size standard at $18.5M.
