Z -- INSTALLATION OF PRE-ENGINEERED BLDG. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is seeking bidders for the following projects: a. Project One/SIC Code 1542/Small Business Size Standard $17.0 M: The installation of an aluminum pre-engineered building approximately 33'-0" long x 9'-7" high on a 32'-2" x 10'-0" existing concrete pad w/five condenser units. The backwall of the roof shall be 9' high, front wall height to be 8'. Panels shall be .024 aluminum skin over #1 EPS insulation. Building will be anchored to existing concrete slab and concrete block masonry wall. Roof will overhang building walls approximately 1'. The building shall have five 6'-0" sliding glass doors. b. Project Two/SIC Code 1721/Small Business Size Standard $7.0 M: Marked crosswalks shall be painted at designated intersections and where there is substantial conflict between vehicle and pedestrian movements. Lines shall be solid white, marking both edges of the crosswalk. Surfaces to be marked shall be thoroughly cleaned before application of the pavement marking material. Existing reflectors in the road shall be protected before painting. Solid white "STOP" marking shall be painted at stop signs at four separate locations. The work efforts shall be performed at Federal Emergency Management Agency, Mount Weather Emergency Assistance Center, 19844 Blue Ridge Mountain Road, Loudoun and Clarke County, Bluemont, VA. Offerors have the choice to respond to both Projects or either Project A or Project B. The projects will be identified as separate line items in the Request For Quote (RFQ). The period of performance for Project One shall be 60 calendar days from the Notice of Award date. The period of performance for Project Two is 45 calendar days from an anticipated start date of May 01, 2000. The 45 day period of performance will be adjusted based on the actual start date. The magnitude of the requirement in terms of the estimated price range is less than $25,000.00 for each individual project, however, the estimated price range for the combined projects is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. A valid Virginia's Contractor's License will be required in order to bid on and perform the work. Presolicitation conference and site visit date and time will be identified in the RFQ package. RFQ No. EMV-2000-RQ-0016 will be issued on or about February 28, 2000 and quotes will be due on or about March 28, 2000. The resulting award will be a firm-fixed price construction type purchase order (or orders, if multiple awards result) and will be a 100% small business set-aside requirement under the aforementioned SIC Codes.
