This project requires that the contractor remove a 500KVA dry type 208Y/120V transformer with secondary switchgear, a 225KVA dry type 208Y/120V transformer with secondary switchgear, and the secondary switchgear section of a 300KVA dry type 208Y/120V transformer. The 300 KVA transformer itself has previously been removed. All this equipment is located in the 208V electrical vault in building 159. All removed transformers are rated 12.47KV primary. Primary switches for all transformers are to be removed along with all primary cabling back to the nearest manhole approximately 50 feet away. A new 750KVA, 480 Delta-208Y/120V dry type transformer will be installed in the vault along with a 2000A switchboard. This new transformer will be fed from an existing 480V switchboard located in building 159. Existing circuits supplied by the removed transformers will be refed from the new switchboard. Demolition of a steel frame mezzanine, abandoned electrical panels, conduits, and conductors is also required, and incidental related work. Estimated Cost Range: Between $100,000 and $250,000.
