This procurement is an 8(a) Comeptitive Set-Aside. The Bureau of Reclamation, Mid-Pacific Region has a requirement for constructing approximately 2 miles of concrete-lined canal and other work as specified below. The principal components of the work to be performed under these specifications include the following: Demolishing and abandoning existing Newman Canal; Earthwork for and construction of approximately 2 miles of concrete-lined canal; Seeding earth surfaces and disturbed areas; Earthwork for and construction of the following reinforced concrete structures and pipe: Inlet from CCID; road and refuge entrance crossings, turnouts, 24-inch irrigation pipe crossing extension; drain inlet; Furnishing and installing miscellaneous metalwork for the reinforced concrete structures listed above; Installing trashracks; Furnishing and installing cast iron slide gates and lifts; and Constructing ramp flume. The solicitation will have the following special standards of responsibility: Prospective contractor shall provide Workman Compensation Experience Modification Rate (EMR) for work accomplished in the past three (3) years including the project name and type of construction; Project Scheduling in which contractor has used CPM and including type of work, value of contract and duration; and Past performance information for contracts performed in the past five (5) years, including but not limited to canal construction and concrete structures and specify the percent of involvement (project managers/or actually performed the work)etc. The location of the work is in San Joaquin Basin Action Plan Lands, North Grasslands Wildlife Area, China Island Unit, California.
