plans to solicit for a five year requirements type contract for the
repair/overhaul of the #2 Carbon Seal. Period of Performance: 5 Years.
Quantity: BEQ Basic Three Years = 237EA. 1st Year Option = 79EA. 2nd
Year Option = 79EA. Delivery is 30 days after recepit of reparables.
There are no qualification requirements for this item. Government
Furnished Equipment and/or Materials are NOT authorized. Agile
Logistics Applies. Approved Sources Include: Praxaire Surface Tech
(FSCM:1V619 -- Miami Fl. Kaydon Ring & Seal (FSCM:75370) -- Baltimore
Md. EG&G Sealol (FSCM:77842) -- Warwick, RI. This is a durability
critical part. The repair is proprietary to the currently approved
sources. No repair data exists in the technical orders for this repair.
Additional repair sources will be required to develope repair processes
followed by the qualification through a CIP Repair Program tasking
which will fall below the current and future funding levels. All
potential offerors should contactthe buyer/PCO identified in this
notice for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if
any, concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by
the contracting officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear
concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal
development phase of an acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish
the authority of the program director or Contracting Officer, but
communicates Contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and
recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When
requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentially as to the
source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the
evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interested
