This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for proposal (RFP), and the solicitation number is N00173-00-R-PL03. The Naval Research Laboratory has a requirement for three (3), 1-short ATR enclosures. Units shall have minimum 9-slot conduction cooled with fan forced airflow through sidewall heat exchangers. The VME-64 backplane shall have a P0 connector. Unit shall be no more than 7.62"H x10.62"W x 19.62"L with no more than 3 inches additional length for the fan/shroud assembly. Internal power supply shall be 28V which shall provide at least 300W. Technical capability and past performance, when combined are of greater importance compared to price.
