Napier, Contracting Officer, 606-281-3955 Services of an Architect-Engineer firm with specialized experience in design and construction of inpatient and outpatient hospital pharmacy services to participate in strategic planning, provide programming, schematics, fully developed preliminary design, working drawings/construction documents and construction period services for Project No. 596-319, "Consolidate Pharmacy Operations (C)" at VA Medical Center, Cooper Drive Division, Lexington, Kentucky. Project, consisting of est. 16,000 gross square feet (GSF) of space will involve: relocating existing medical center functions in order to provide for a consolidated inpatient and outpatient pharmacy in a centralized location of the medical center to meet the needs of the pharmacy as well as pharmacy-supported inpatient and outpatient activities. Existing inpatient pharmacy and outpatient pharmacy spaces to be back-filled with other medical center clinical and/or administrative functions. Certified Industrial Hygienist shall be included on design team for possible asbestos assessment, removal specifications, and monitoring. Project drawings will be accomplished in the AutoCAD.dwg format. Estimated construction cost range is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. Area of consideration is restricted to businesses within 100 mile radius of VAMC, Lexington, KY. Interested firms, with required specialization, must submit appropriate data described in Numbered Note 24 no later than COB April 7, 2000.
