Section I, Mailstop K-18, 770-488-2776 The Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention (CDC) contemplates multi-awards of a one year task
order contract with four one-year option periods as an as-needed
mechanism to provide the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) with patent
prosecution for all of CDC [e.g., National Center for Infectious
Diseases (NCID), National Institute of Occupational Health and Safety
(NIOSH), Agency for Toxic Substance Registry (ATSDR)]. The inventions
claimed in the patent portfolio fall generally into the following
categories (1) biological: infectious diseases, immunology, and genetic
engineering, and (2) miscellaneous: biomedical devices, software,
electrical, mechanical devices, and methods related to mining and other
occupational safety. The nature, scope and complexity of specific work
requirements will vary, consistent with the scope of the statement of
work, and will be clarified via individual Task Orders. The date
specified for receipt of offers will be approximately 30 days after the
RFP issue date which is projected on or about March 22, 2000. Request
for copies of the RFP must be in writing and must cite the RFP number
2000-N-00012. Telephone, e-mail, or fax request will not be accepted.
All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered.
A wage determination has not been requested since the requirement
involves meaningful numbers of professional employees as defined in FAR
