Generally the work includes: 1. Remove 84 existing fan coil units (including two prototypes) and piping. 2. Remove two 50 ton chillers (Bldg. 265), cooling tower, associated wiring and plumbing. 3. Provide and install 87 _through the wall_ packaged air conditioners (PTAC), associated controls and electrical work. Include an additional 3 spare PTAC units and 5 spare wall mounted PTAC control devices. 4. Remove 9 roof mounted exhaust fans and install new roof hoods and backdraft dampers. Remove 30 bathroom ceiling lights and install new fan/light exhaust with delayed fan off control. 5. If an _or equal_ PTAC unit is provided, the contractor shall replace the two prototype units and controls to match. Period of performance is 120 calendar days after Notice to Proceed is issued. Solicitation issue date of 30 Mar 00 and bid opening date of 30 Apr 00 are tentative. The applicable SIC Code and size standard for this acquisition are 1711/$7.0M.
