Anne L. Baune, 17 Sources are sought for up to seven Confederation of
Independent States (CIS), (formerly Soviet Union), fully operational
military Multiple Rocket Launcher (MRL) (SMERCH 300mm), with the 8 x 8
Heavy Truck Host Chassis (MAZ-543M) and Mock-Up Multiple Rocket
Launcher (MRL) Systems Mounted on 8 X 8 Heavy Truck Host Chassis
(MAZ-543M) and source of supply for individual MRL system and Host
Chassis/Carrier spares/repair parts. The SMERCH 300M Launcher systems
must have the capability to be either stowed for the transport position
or elevated for fire simulation position. The Mock-up full scale MRL
systems will be required to accurately emulate the Russian built 12
tube MRL 300mm SMERCH mounted on its host chassis in all visual and
physical appearance, Radio Frequency/Millimeter Wave (R/F/MMW),
Infrared (IR), Acoustic and Visual signature characteristics. These
systems must be fully operational, full scale, units to include the
full range of launcher articulation (azimuth and elevation). The
systems must contain all of the actual hardware, excluding rockets, to
include fenders, the extra cab and accessories (mirrors/ladders,
cables, etc). Any firm with experience in acquiring CIS missile
equipment and spare parts is invited to provide a statement of interest
plus data to substantiate your qualifications to this office within 30
days from date of publication in CBD. The qualifications shall
include, as a minimum, the interested firm's experience in acquiring
CIS equipment and spares, estimated days for delivery, warranty
enforcement, status of any non classified government issued dual-use
end-user certificate, and a copy of a current export license from a CIS
state, other than Belarus. Data provided to substantiate qualifications
should include information on current products meeting the
characteristics stated in this announcement and rough order of
magnitude (ROM) cost and availability of products to meet this
