This is an integrated system for measuring blood pressure in unrestrained, untethered, awake rats and mice; all the parts are specially designed to work together. The individual components are proprietary products designed to work as a single system. The device is a specially designed blood pressure sensor coupled in specially-designed circuitry with a radio transmitter that is surgically implanted in a mouse or rat. The blood pressure information is sent out of the animal as a radio signal that is picked up by a specially designed antenna and relayed circuitry that translate the signal into blood pressure readings with the use of a special computer program running on a unique platform. The Government's desired delivery schedule is not more than thirty (30) days after contract award.
